About The Studio Old Nick Company
Old Nick Company has been part of Tasmania’s performing arts community for 80 years, providing opportunities for local performers, creatives, musicians and technical crew to develop their skills and bring high-quality live theatre to Hobart audiences.
We typically produce several major productions and events each year, including our annual Uni Revue, Hobart Theatre Summer School, musicals, plays, concerts and special community events. Our performers range from teenagers through to adults of all ages, with a strong focus on creating pathways for young and emerging artists to work alongside experienced theatre practitioners.
Our mission is centred on creating accessible, inclusive and engaging theatre while supporting the development of Tasmania’s performing arts community. Education, mentoring, participation and providing opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes are important parts of what we do.
