- Belle A brave, fiercely independent, and intellectual young woman who dreams of adventure beyond her provincial French village, finding solace in books and prioritizing self-discovery over societal expectations
- Beast A selfish prince cursed for his cruelty, hes initially gruff and intimidating but reveals intelligence, wit, and a deep capacity for love, having lost his kind mother and been raised by a harsh father
- Maurice Belles loving, eccentric father A child at heart and inventor in his own world
- Gaston The handsome, egotistical, and manipulative hunter who relentlessly pursues Belle, viewing her as a prize and becoming a dangerous antagonist
