About The Studio Waiuku Theatre Group
Waiuku Theatre Group is a registered charity & 100% volunteer run community theatre. We began in 1972, although became official in 1976 and were performing in the Waiuku War Memorial Hall exclusively until 1991, when we moved just a few meters to our current home at the Backstage Theatre. We put on at least 3-5 shows a year, with at least one children's pantomime, usually held in August. Our pantomimes and other larger shows, like our variety shows, are held in the Waiuku War Memorial Hall still. Waiuku Theatre Group is dedicated to ensuring the performing arts remain accessible to all in our community & we'd love to have you join us.
