Sonoran Repertory Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, United States

About The Studio Sonoran Repertory Theatre

Sonoran Repertory Theatre is a newly launched classical theatre company based in downtown Phoenix, dedicated to bringing great stories—both classical and classically inspired—to modern audiences.

Founded in 2026, SRT produces reimagined classics, companion works, historical dramas, and new plays rooted in the classical tradition. Our focus is on strong storytelling, clear direction, and theatre that feels immediate, engaging, and worth experiencing today.

Our inaugural season includes Much Ado About Nothing, the world premiere adaptation Medea: Redacted, and the world premiere comedy Dickie’s Got His Hans Full by award-winning playwright Todd Olson.

SRT typically plans to produce a three-show mainstage season annually, along with educational programming, workshops, and special events.

We practice open and inclusive casting and welcome performers of all backgrounds, identities, ethnicities, body types, ages, and experience levels. While some productions may call for specific skills or experience, we believe great storytelling comes from a wide range of voices and perspectives.

Our primary performance home is the Third Street Theatre at Phoenix Center for the Arts in downtown Phoenix.
