About The Studio Monash Uni Student Theatre
Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST) is a department of the Monash Student Association (MSA) that creates vibrant, innovative performances by and with Monash students, for everybody. Alongside two full-time staff members, nearly all roles on and off stage are performed by students, with training and mentorship provided - and students actively shape the program.
MUST's works are diverse, ranging from new text-based and devised pieces to bold adaptations; from large-scale immersive work to intimate experiments, events, festivals and exhibitions. It’s also of an excellent standard, attracting awards such as the Melbourne Fringe Live Art Award, The National Campus Link Award and great reviews: “they create the kind of theatre that blows me away every time…” (Sometimes Melbourne). Apart from the black box theatre we control, we’ve staged works at the Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe and collaborated with La Mama, Theatre Works, Monash Performing Arts Centres, and fortyfivedownstairs.
