What To Know About This Production
The King’s Players are excited to announce auditions for the new play “We’ll Get Back to You,” by Rob Bell to be presented at The King's University (Edmonton, AB), scheduled for November 27 & 28 in the N102/N106 theatre, directed by Jasmine Diegel as part of a directed study course. This call is for non-equity (volunteer) actors only.
Synopsis
Why is this woman named Viva applying for a job at this company? She doesn’t even know what they do here! And Todd and Connie from Human Resources-why do they keep asking her questions when her answers are so terrible they both know she’s never going to get the job? And why is Claude Horst still working there? And what exactly does Yukosa Okeemos think she’s doing with her tool box? We’ll Get Back to You begins with questions that lead to more questions that lead to larger questions about this disruptive presence at the heart of it all who gradually begins to reveal what happens when people own every square inch of their lives (“We’ll Get Back to You”).

Characters
- Viva A mysterious woman applying for a job she may not be qualified for. But then again, who is? Wise beyond her years.
- Glenn Stevens A sporty guy with all the confidence in the world, or so it seems.
- Connie McDoogagin Otherwise nicknamed the Ice Queen, she is cold and calculated but may be starting to thaw.
- Yukosa Okeemos A peaceful being She has some tricks up her sleeve and operates exclusively in metaphors
- Claude Horst An older gentleman who shuffles down the hall but sees everything and knows all.
- Todd Kloser A flustered combo of friendly and rattled. He is high-energy and pleasant.
