What To Expect At Auditions

What should I prepare?
Please prepare one contemporary dramatic monologue that is no longer than one minute. Your monologue should be fully memorized and should highlight your ability to tell a truthful story. Choose material that is age-appropriate and that you connect with personally.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. There is no need to wear a costume or dress like your character. We recommend closed-toe shoes and avoiding clothing that restricts movement.

What happens when I arrive?
When you arrive, you'll check in with our staff, confirm your audition information, and receive any necessary paperwork or instructions. You'll have a few minutes to settle in before auditions begin.

What is the audition format?
Auditionees will perform their prepared monologue for the directing team. After your performance, you may be asked to take direction and perform a portion of your monologue again. This helps us see how you collaborate and respond to feedback.

How long will my audition take?
Your individual audition will typically last 5–10 minutes, though you may spend additional time waiting for your scheduled audition slot.

Do I need theatre experience?
Not at all! We welcome performers of all experience levels. We are looking for committed, enthusiastic actors who are ready to learn and work as part of an ensemble.

Do I need to bring anything?
Bring a water bottle and arrive with your monologue memorized. If requested in the audition notice, also bring a current headshot and résumé (if you have one).

Will there be callbacks?
Yes. Selected performers may be invited to callbacks, where we'll explore scenes, ensemble work, and character chemistry. Receiving a callback does not guarantee casting, and not receiving one does not necessarily mean you won't be cast.

When will I hear about casting?
Casting decisions will be shared as soon as possible following callbacks. All auditionees will be notified of the final casting decisions via email.

What are you looking for?
We value honesty, preparation, imagination, collaboration, and a positive attitude. Above all, we want to see performers who are willing to take risks, listen, and tell compelling stories as part of an ensemble.
