What To Know About This Production
This year's play is called, "Play On!" It is the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play despite the maddening interference of the haughty author who keeps revising the script. There are parts for men, women, as well as non-gender-specific roles. We have a need for on-stage, non-speaking roles, crew members, artists, hairstylists, folks who like construction work for sets, etc. So if you have ever been interested in theater either on or off stage, please come to auditions.

- Aggie Manville The capable but pessimistic stage manager and prompter - any age
- Geraldine/Gerry Dunbar The often exasperated director - over 30 years old
- Louise/Louie Perry An overworked sound, light, and sound technician - any age
- Phyllis Montague A somewhat eccentric novice playwright - between 42 and 57
- Henry Benish (Lord Dudley) Leading man and character actor - mid 50s
- Polly Benish (Lady Margaret) Married to Henry - a “diva” somewhat concerned and teased about her weight - mid 50s
- Marla “Smitty” Smith (Doris the maid) Inexperienced high school actress - pretty but awkward - quite young
- Saul Watson (Dr. Rex Forbes – the villain) Actor who can’t resist a wisecrack - 45-50 years old
- Billy Carewe (Stephen Sellers) Future leading man, spirited – looks 25-35
- Violet Imbry (Diana Lassiter) A not-too-bright ingenue - 25-35
- On-Stage Crew 1 Non-speaking role but wanders on and off stage periodically and wreaks havoc
