This summer, Standing Ovation Theatre is bringing Newsies to the stage as a bold, high-energy theatrical event driven by storytelling, movement, and ensemble spirit.
Directed by Matthew C. Logan, this production will focus on what makes Newsies unforgettable: rebellion, brotherhood, heart, and the power of young people standing together. Actors can expect a collaborative, actor-focused rehearsal process that emphasizes strong character work, dynamic staging, and emotionally grounded performances — not just choreography and vocals.
