What To Know About This Production
Jagged Little Pill follows the seemingly perfect Healy family as they navigate the pressures of modern life beneath the surface. As each family member struggles with identity, connection, and personal challenges, hidden truths begin to emerge, forcing them to confront difficult realities. Through powerful music and raw storytelling, the show explores themes of resilience, healing, and the importance of finding your voice.
Auditions For Jagged Little Pill
What To Expect At Auditions
Auditions will be held in Onehunga at Kete Aronui on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May. The dance call will be on Saturday 9th May 2026 at Kim Santarelli Dance Academy at Selwyn College. Please arrive 15 minutes early to warm yourselves up.
All auditionees must attend the dance call. Upon completing your registration you will receive an email from us regarding your allocated time for your Acting & Singing audition. At the end of each audition session we will go through our auditionees and send out a text/e-mail informing you if you have progressed to Stage 2 (the dance call) which you will need to attend on Saturday afternoon at 5pm.
VOCALS
Please prepare a 90-second cut of a song that showcases your vocal ability, range, and suitability for the character you are auditioning for. We are looking for strong characterization and vocal control rather than perfect technique.
- Please bring your own backing track. A speaker will be provided.
SCRIPT (COLD READ)
You will be asked to perform a cold read with the panel on the day. We are assessing your ability to take direction and communicate your interpretation of the material.
CHOREOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
During the choreography call, you will be taught a short combination in a group setting.
We are looking at how you:
-pick up movement
-work collaboratively with the choreographer and other performers
-bring character and storytelling into your movement
You do not need to be a technical dancer. We encourage performers who can express emotion and intention through movement.
WHAT TO BRING / WEAR
-Comfortable clothing you can move in
-A drink to stay hydrated
-Your backing track (for vocal auditions)

The choreography and direction presented during auditions may not reflect the final material or creative vision of the production.
Upon successful casting, a membership show fee of $80 will be payable.
