What To Know About This Production
Welcome to the 2026-27 KCD Student Run Production of High School Musical! High School Musical follows Troy Bolton, a popular basketball captain, and Gabriella Montez, a shy, academically gifted transfer student. After discovering a shared passion for singing during a karaoke contest, they decide to audition for the lead roles in their school’s upcoming musical. Their decision turns the school's rigid social hierarchy upside down, forcing them to navigate the expectations of their peer groups and the schemes of the school's drama diva, Sharpay Evans. It is a vibrant, upbeat story about breaking out of status quo stereotypes.
