What To Know About This Production
Lyric Stage Dallas begins its 2026-2027 season with the Stephen Schwartz classic "Godspell."
This iconic musical retells the last days and teachings of Jesus Christ through the Gospel of Matthew. The music will stir your soul, and the message is more relevant than ever.
Auditions:
First Call: August 29th, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Callbacks: August 30th 1pm-6pm.
Performances: October 16th - 25th
We will see all Equity and Non-Equity performers at this call; ages 17 and up.
For the initial call, "Prepare ye" a one minute cut of a song in the style of or from the show.
If called back be prepared to sing your song and tell a 2 minute story of your choosing. NOT a monologue, just a good story.
Lyric Stage's Catherine Carpenter Cox will helm this production, marking her directorial debut. As a member of the 2000 Off Broadway Revival of "Godspell" she will bring unique insight to this production. Local favorite Hans Grim will be the musical director and will bring this incredible score to life.
