What To Know About This Production
Bad Character is an original one-act docu-drama by Leigh Medeiros, with an approx. 70 minute runtime, centered around the trial of Reverend Ephraim Avery for the murder of "mill girl" Sarah Maria Cornell in 1832. This victim-centered narrative gives Sarah Maria a voice, and touches on issues of sexual violence, murder, suicide, and abortion that, sadly, remain timely 194 years later.
